Crease and Fold

Vixen.

2 weeks ago I was finally able to get a hold of Origami Essence by Roman Diaz, and it was primarily THIS model that made me want to get it.  Unfortunately on my first attempt, I didn’t interpret it correctly, so I ended up chucking the paper.  But today, I went back to the basics, relearning how to do a closed sink properly (that’s where I got stuck).  The rest was a breeze.  

I was amazed that I was able to fold this complicated looking animal from a 5 7/8 x 5 7/8 in regular origami paper.  Most animals that I have tried to fold end up being too small, and the paper becomes too thick because of all the folds in the middle.  It also didn’t have too many crimp folds which I dread.  I have to give Roman Diaz a standing ovation for this one.  

I will probably fold this many more times, and I will most likely take another picture.  I was just so excited that I actually finished it so I took a picture right away :)
