Multi-Stage Clover Folding by Shuzo Fujimoto
Video tutorial by Sara Adams
As I am loading this 33 minute video discussing the advanced clover fold, I decided to go ahead and share this video with all of my followers. This is so that maybe some of you out there may try to fold it as well during the next few days while I give it a try. Don’t be intimidated! If you want, try the simple 3-stage clover fold model first.

A year ago when I was just starting to do origami, I tried to make this model. After folding 30 units, I couldn’t put them together. So I ended up scrapping all of that paper >_< 6 months after, I went back to the tutorial, and was successful ^_^ Back then I used 6x6 inch regular kami, but now I am able put it together using 3x3 inch kami :)
Now it’s one of my favorite modular origami. :)

What a week I had! I’ve been attending a summer musical theater workshop in the city and it has been awesome. We’ve sung only once though, and I look forward to more singing activities. I really need to improve on my acting though. What are you guys doing this summer?

Bam! ^_^ New origami from me! ^_^ Bet you didn’t see that coming? :)
I’m just so happy that my internet is now more stable… stable enough for uploading pretty origami. I have 4 more to show you guys… I really haven’t stopped folding, just got lazy uploading. Anyway, I’m back again for more origami goodness. :) Try this one for size ^_^

Eifel-Stern.
This was designed by Hans-Werner Guth. I love that it can stand on it’s own, but it is easy to separate. The locking mechanism is not that strong. A curious kid can pick it up and it will instantly fall apart. Still, it is a beautiful shape and I enjoyed making it.
If you would like to try this model, go and visit Sara Adams Youtube video, or go to HappyFolding.com. This one is in German (right Sara?), but watching the demo is enough really.

Big Bricks. [Design: Sara Adams, modified from Ilan Garibi’s Bricks model]
There’s nothing like a new tessellation project to give you the right amount of kick to get you back into folding. I’d like to thank Sara for making such a long video explaining the structure and the attitude of motion that each molecule had. It was a pleasure to make. I will try to make Ilan Garibi’s Bricks in the near future.
If you are my friend in Instagram or twitter or facebook or flickr, you probably saw the small snapshots that I posted through Instagram while I was making this model. It may not seem like a big deal to some people, but I was thrilled to show you all my progress while I was learning the model in real time. Of course, nothing beats seeing the actual folding process in real life, but hey, we work with what we are given. Also because of what I did, Ilan Garibi found my flickr page and added me as a contact, and I am truly honored. I love it when the design goes right back to the designer. I hope Ilan wasn’t to freaked out by what he saw ^_^. The origami community is really tight knit I guess :)
If you want to try this model out here is Sara Adams’ latest video:

Jump. [Design: Hans-Werner Guth]
I hope y’all haven’t forgotten about Crease and Fold ^_^ I’m finally free to do some origami again. As if my favorite origami teacher Sara Adams read my mind, she posted a brand new video tutorial about this model. It’s my first model to use curved folds and using cardstock as the main kind of paper. It’s fairly easy to make, compared to other modular origami.
Have fun making it, and share it with me too :)
